Two places left for January starts

Lead the business.Don't carry it.

I coach the founders and CEOs of growing companies to build the leadership team, the plan and the rhythm that let the business scale without running through them.

70+ CEOs and founders coached since 2016

Things CEOs tell me in the first call, almost word for word. Each one has a fix, and none of them need you to work harder.

“Every decision still ends up on my desk.”

What changes: We move decisions to the people closest to them, with clear limits, so you only see what truly needs you.

“We've been stuck at the same revenue for three years.”

What changes: We find the real constraint, usually capacity, pricing or the wrong customers, and build the year around it.

“I don't trust the team to run it without me.”

What changes: We build a leadership team with real ownership, and a meeting rhythm that shows you it's working.

“I haven't had a proper holiday since we started.”

What changes: Most clients take two unplugged weeks in their first year. We plan for it from month one.

I help founders build companies that run on a clear plan, a strong team and a steady rhythm, not on their own stamina.

Twelve months, four phases

Every engagement follows the same shape. The work inside it is built around your business.

Scroll to move through the year

Month 1

Diagnose

Interviews with you and your senior team, a close read of your numbers and a two-week time diary. You get a frank written summary, including the parts that are hard to hear.

Month 2

Plan

Two days off site. We leave with one page: where the business is going, this year's targets and three priorities for the quarter, each with an owner and a date.

Months 3 to 6

Build the team

Clear roles, the right people in them and decisions pushed down. Fortnightly coaching keeps you honest about which jobs are still yours.

Months 6 to 12

Keep the rhythm

I spent twelve years at a food manufacturer in Kent, first as chief operating officer and then as CEO, growing it from £60m to £140m and 900 people. I know what it's like to be the person everyone waits for.

I started coaching in 2016 because the thing that changed my business most wasn't a system or a hire. It was someone asking better questions than I was asking myself, every fortnight, and not letting me off the hook.

Still wondering? Call me on 020 7946 0184.

Who do you work with?

Founders and CEOs of growing companies, usually 100 to 1,500 people and £15m to £150m in revenue: hospitality groups, logistics, software, manufacturing, healthcare and professional services. Mostly London and the South East, and UK-wide.

How is this different from a consultant?

A consultant studies your business and hands you answers. I help you and your team reach your own, then hold you to them every fortnight. You do more of the thinking, and the results stay after I've gone.

How long is the commitment?

Programmes start with a twelve-month agreement, reviewed every quarter. After the first quarter you can stop with one month's notice. Most clients stay two to three years.

Do we meet in person?

Planning days and team sessions are always in person, at your place or my studio in Clerkenwell. Fortnightly one-to-ones can be on video, and most clients mix the two.

What if it isn't working?

Then I'll say so first. Every quarter we score progress against your plan. If the numbers and your week aren't moving, we change the approach or end the engagement.

Is what I tell you confidential?

Completely. I never name a client without written permission, and nothing from your one-to-ones is shared with your team, including during team sessions.

Thirty minutes to talk through where the business is and where it's stuck. No charge and no pitch. If I'm not the right coach for you, I'll tell you who is.
